Editing in the Kaifeng Deuteronomy Square Scriptures

 


Several times here I have pointed out that insertion of either yod or vav are quite common in the Kaifeng Vienna Scroll.  Such examples typically look like this:



In some instances we can see that editorial process in action in the Square Scriptures from the community.  




The vav is to the far right in the column, and the circle is an editorial marker indicating hits position in the word.   There are several more examples at the conclusion of Deuteronomy:












Do these insertions mean that same person performed this task for the VS and the SS?  Will we find more of these insertions in other scrolls?  I know have the complete scroll at the British Library.  I will add its variants to our growing list.
