I have written here a great deal about corrections to the Kaifeng Torah scrolls that in fact do not follow the Masoretic spelling of most Torah scrolls. But here we have an example from the BLS Scroll at Leviticus 19:2 where the text was corrected accordioning to the received spelling. Above, a person came and wrote, most likely after the word was written, a vav.
I am less convinced this correction happened in the VS, but below, it seems as if the vav was at least darkened:
In HUC 966-1, the vav was clearly written with the word.
